Hialeah is the lovely city positioned in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. The 2000 census, reported the city’s population to be 226,419. The 2004 U.S. Census Bureau reported that the city had a population of 224,522 [2], thus Hialeah became the fifth largest state in the city of Florida. Miami metropolitan area and the Greater South Florida metropolitan area both hold a part of Hialeah. Hialeah houses the U.S based production facility of Orangina's. Hialeah means "High Prairie", this name was obtained from the Seminole tribe. And the city got this name because it is located upon a large prairie between Biscayne Bay and the Everglad.

Most of the Hialeah population speaks Spanish and thus this city rank #1 in the list of cities in the United States where the language Spanish is most spoken. The first language being Spanish about 89% of their populations speak the language.

The density of the population is 4,543.7/km² (11,767.3/mi²). 72,142 housing units are present in the city at an average density of 1,447.7/km² (3,749.3/mi²). Hialeah has a blend of 88.01% White, 2.41% African American, 0.13% Native American, 0.40% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 5.47% from other races, and 3.55% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race form about 85.17% of any population.

70,704 households are present in the city, out of which 36.2% have children less than 18, 57.4% are married couples living together, 17.4% of the populations are single women living alone, and 18.7% are broken families. 14.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 7.8% of the population are older people who are 65 or above.
